JX 9660 Cartridge - Go Green With The Compatible Sharp Toner
This short article is in reference to Sharp JX 9660 Printer - JX 9660 Toner Cartridge. Japanese electronics manufacturer Sharp Corporation was founded in September 1912, by Tokuji Hayakawa, inventor of the Ever-Sharp mechanical pencil, from which the corporation took its name. Today the firm is international in scope, among the top 20 semiconductor makers in the world and a leading manufacturer of consumer electronics. The Sharp Corporation at one time used the JX 96xx designation to refer to a line of laser printers, fax machines and associated drums, toner and cartridges. Sharp discontinued the JX 96xx about 2005. A search of Sharp’s USA websites returns no hits.
There are multiple sites on the Internet that advertise JX 9660 Toner for either a Sharp JX 9660 laser printer or a Sharp JX 9660 fax. These sites are generally heavily templated and it is not clear if they are referring to the same product.
At Sharp Corporation the core technologies at this time are audio-visual entertainment equipment like flat-screen LCD television sets and home theaters systems, mobile phones, video projectors, CMOS sensors, microwave ovens, CCD sensor and LCD panels. The company is heavily invested in solar panel research and development.
Sharp is a larger player in the Japanese cell market than else where. The company released the first camera phone in Japan way back in 2000 and has maintained that cutting edge reputation in its home market. In Europe and North America Nokia is the market leader.
In the business market for electronic components Sharp is a player in photocopiers, fax machines, laser printers cash registers and other point of sale devices like ATM card readers. Sharp Solar is a Welsh-based division that manufacturers crystalline silicon solar cells. It is a major manufacturer of PV (photovoltaic) modules. These solar cells are used in everything from lighthouses to satellites.
Sharp is focusing a great deal of attention on MFD (multi-function devices) for the business and home markets. The company sees the centralization of home or business electronics particularly as regards command and control as the next phase of the wireless open network revolution. The companies newest generation of MFDs is the MX2600 series of fax/copier/printers. These units use OSA.3, version three of the company’s Open System Architecture. OSA.3 permits developers to design their business applications for direct integration.
Sharp holds a 29% stake in German electronics manufacturer Loewe AG. Four fifths of Loewe AG’s business is high end of home theatre TVs that cover a market segment at the luxury top end of the market served by Sharp’s Aquos brand LCD television sets at the bottom end. Loewe AG also develops and manufacturers high end stereo sets, Blu-ray and DVD players and recorders.
Sharp’s other associated company is Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Pioneer Corporation. Since 2007 Pioneer Corporation has been controlled by Sharp Corporation. In early 2009, the Pioneer Corporation announced it will stop manufacturing TVs by March of next year. It is expected that joint venture with Sharp in the optical line of business will follow.
For those of you who are still using a JX 9660 component, JX 9660 Toner Cartridge is no longer available, but non-OEM replacement toner, drums or cartridges easy to find.
